  WHAT HAPPENED?

  The towering frontman joined the Red Dragons in January 2022, as Hollywood co-owners at SToK Racecourse convinced another proven performer to step down into the National League. Palmer played a leading role in a record-breaking title triumph last season, alongside the prolific Paul Mullin, and has contributed six goals this term.

  WHAT PALMER SAID

  Palmer was back in Phil Parkinson’s starting XI for a 3-1 win over Morecambe and has said of being undefeated across the games that he has started in 2023-24: "Not just this season! It's good to be involved, I know my role within the team.”

• DID YOU KNOW?

  Palmer has started 17 games for Wrexham this season, but his impressive unbeaten run stretches all the way back to a meeting with Notts County in October 2022. He clearly has an important role to play after returning from injury and added on being part of Parkinson’s plans once more: “Everyone wants to play but we've got a big squad. With hindsight maybe it's been nice to have a bit of a rest to come back flying and trying to help the team as much as I can now.”
