ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Manchester United are without a Premier League title since the 2012/13 season when the Red Devils finished top of the pile during Sir Alex Ferguson's final season at Old Trafford. Since then, United have failed to lift the Premier League trophy and only managed to finish as runners-up twice in 2018 under Jose Mourinho and in 2021 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Manchester United will be hoping for more Premier League titles following Sir Jim Ratcliffe's arrival. Despite a disappointing start to the current season, Berrada and sporting director Dan Ashworth have kept their faith in Erik ten Hag, and The Athletic has now revealed that Berrada has put a date on when he wants to see the Premier League trophy back at Old Trafford.

WHAT BERRADA SAID
Speaking to Manchester United staff, Berrada said [via The Athletic]: "I think it’s the club’s 150-year anniversary in 2028… if our trajectory is leading to a very good place in that sort of timeframe then we’d be very happy with that. Because it’s not easy to turn Manchester United into the world’s best football team.
"The ultimate target for Manchester United — and it’s always going to be thus, really — is that we should be challenging for the Premier League and challenging for the Champions League. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world."

WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?
The Red Devils will now look to dust off their current disappointing form when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Sunday, September 29 in a bid to re-enter the top-half of the Premier League standings.
