The transfer window has been and gone, but there are plenty of free agents still on the hunt for a new club.

One of those free agents is Bent, who expressed his desire to play for Steven Gerrard at Rangers this week in an interview with TalkSPORT.

“100 per cent,” he exclaimed when asked by TalkSPORT if he would consider joining the Gers.

“You’re talking about one of the biggest clubs in football in Rangers. To get the opportunity to go up there and play – definitely!”

Bent isn’t the only ageing striker eyeing up a move to Scotland, as Gabby Agbonlahor expressed his desire to play Celtic earlier this week.

Celtic fans didn’t want Agbonlahor, and Rangers fans are clearly feeling the exact same way about Bent, as signing a 34 year-old on big wages could wreak havoc on the culture Gerrard is building at Ibrox.
